Floatplane: Audio Described Tour

  • Rochester Cathedral England, ME1 1SJ United Kingdom (map)

A specially tailored event for blind and visually impaired audiences and their families.

Join us for a tour of the Short Scion Floatplane on display in the Nave of Rochester Cathedral. Recently restored by MAPSL, with thanks to a grant from the Rochester Bridge Trust. The tour will also include the Pioneers of Flight exhibition in the Crypt which explores Medway’s aviation history and Taking Flight by members of Kent Association for the Blind.

There will be a variety of tactile, interactive elements in the exhibition that you will have a chance to experience.

This audio-described tour will be delivered in conjunction with Rochester Bridge Trust and local artist Wendy Daws of the MESS ROOM, a community arts studio based at Sun Pier House, Chatham, who works closely with Kent Association for the Blind.
