“Taking Flight” MESS ROOM Community Art Exhibition
Open from 1st July to 31st August
An exhibition of collaborative artworks by the MESS ROOM's Kent Association for the Blind Art Groups and Peer Arts.
Featuring work by over 60 participants, artists, and volunteers, Taking Flight celebrates the creativity of individuals living with full or partial sight loss. The exhibition showcases a diverse collection of artworks co-created during a series of inclusive, artist-led sessions. Participants come from all walks of life and range in age, but are united by their lived experience of sight loss, social isolation and a shared commitment to creative exploration.
Taking Flight is directly inspired by the Shorts Scion Floatplane and we are delighted to showcase the artistic talents of our artists' in Rochester Cathedral's Crypt.
Supported by Kent Association for the Blind, The Colyer-Fergusson Charitable Trust, The Rochester Rotary Club
